Despite all the chaos, there’s been some cheery news this week. Restaurants can now deliver booze, Brisbane distilleries are making hand sanitizer and gyms have gone online. And now we’ve got some more—Salt Meats Cheese is delivering 1kg cheese wheel pasta to your door. We’re not screaming, you’re screaming.
Since you can’t go to them, every Wednesday they’re bringing the cheese wheel experience to you, only with a wheel of brie rather than the epic wheel of parmigiano reggiano it’s usually served up in. You can choose from classic, four cheese, truffle or carbonara flavours, and the whole thing will only set you back $39 (with enough to serve two people).
We’re not entirely sure how it works (do they heat it? Do they leave instructions for you to heat it? Who twirls the spaghetti? SO MANY QUESTIONS), but we do know that it’s apparently going to be available to order via their app from the Gasworks and Surfers Paradise location every Wednesday night. Here’s hoping you’re in the delivery range.
Download their app to order, and block out your Wednesday nights for the foreseeable future—it’s not like you have anything else to do.
Here’s a heap of other restaurants around town still doing delivery.
