Big news for cocktail tragics: Death & Co, one of the most influential cocktail bars on the planet, is opening a Brisbane outpost this summer.
Founded in New York City back in 2006, Death & Co didn't just serve great drinks—it literally defined modern classics, kickstarting a wave of fedora-sporting, vest-rocking bartenders making face-melting drinks worldwide.
The Brissie opening—under local institution Regatta Hotel in the space that held Walrus Club—follows a Melbourne outpost which is set to open in November—marking Death & Co's first international venture. We haven’t seen inside yet, but we’re hoping it channels that big NYC energy, with an interior that’s moody but polished and a menu that blends their global signatures with Aussie exclusives.

A few things we’re looking forward to? Iconic drinks like the Naked & Famous (mezcal, Chartreuse, Aperol, lime) and the Oaxacan Old Fashioned (reposado tequila, mezcal, agave, bitters), plus a few homegrown twists crafted just for Australian palates.
The team behind the bar are even undergoing vigorous training at Death & Co’s U.S. venues to nail the exact vibe and craft that made the brand world-famous.
Death & Co Brisbane will open this summer at 543A Coronation Drive, Toowong (beneath Regatta Hotel).
