By

Brush up on your hieroglyphs cause Queensland Museum Kurilpa is giving you the chance to get up close and personal (but hopefully not too close) with over 200 stunning rare treasured Egyptian antiquities all the way from Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in the Netherlands. The highly anticipated Discovering Ancient Egypt exhibition showcases everything from exquisitely painted sarcophaguses, papyrus sheets from the Book of the Dead, light projections of the Temple of Taffeh, to beautifully carved statues and all sorts of mind-blowing relics spanning across 3000 years.

Book tickets to score a glimpse into the world of pharaohs, gods and hieroglyphics. Not only will you be able to view the artefacts, but visitors will be able to immerse themselves through the cutting-edge interactive CT scans of mummified human and animal remains. Also, for the first time ever alongside this incredible collection, Queensland Museum Kurilpa will showcase and reveal the mystery of 34 pottery vessels found 100 years ago at the necropolis of Esna from their very own Antiquities Collection.

To find out about all the endless exciting events, talks, exhibitions and projects you can sink your teeth into, head to Queensland Museum Kurilpa and prepare to be completely overwhelmed and enlightened in the best possible way.
