After a year of dreariness, we bet you’re itching to get out and have some fun. We get it, and thankfully Eagle Street Pier does as well, which is why they’re hosting a heap of larger than life interactive installations and live music over the summer.
From now until the end of January, the city’s most vibrant dining precinct is going to be home to a massive pop-up porch, one with a custom swing and neon lights in a kaleidoscope of colour. Head along over the next month and you can take a seat on the bright pink swing, grab some bright Instagram shots and listen to local musicians perform live for everyone strolling by. The tunes will be happening every Wednesday to Sunday as part of the Brisbane City Sounds live music program, and you can be sure you’ll discover some new Queensland talent.
If all of this isn’t enough to get you planning a visit, what if we told you that there were giant floor games to play, as well as fire twirlers and live DJs on Saturday evenings? But wait there’s more—once you’re well and truly entertained, you can cap off your trip with a delicious meal at one of Eagle Street Pier’s incredible restaurants. Naga Thai, Sake and Rico Bar & Dining are just a few of our favourites, but if you want to try something new Fat Cow & Lobster and COPPA are set to land in the precinct within the next few weeks, and we cannot wait.
Now we’ve done more than enough convincing, it’s time check it out for yourself. It stands to reason that the installations will be a grammer’s playground, so make sure you use #NeonNightsAtThePier to share your pics.
