Let’s be honest, we all love a good end-of-year scavenger hunt and after the year that was 2020, we’re more than ready to cop our fair share of free stuff. So, if we told you there were a heap of free movie tickets hidden around Brisbane, you’d want to know all the details, right?
If you’re keen (and you are), keep an eye out for blue shirt posters around the city that have tickets in their pockets. The good news is that when you find said poster, you’ll also find a double pass to see Free Guy with ultimate funny guy Ryan Reynolds at the cinemas.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Free Guy is the epic adventure-comedy we all need this year where a bank teller (Reynolds) discovers he’s actually just a background player in an open-world action video game. The twist? He takes a little bit of the old “free will” into his hands and decides to be the hero of his own story and rewrites the gameplay himself.
Free Guy is from the same studio that brought you Deadpool which means you can expect true action movie madness like Reynolds—also known as “blue shirt guy”, getting hit by a train (and getting back up again), talking to a goldfish and trying to save “Free City” before the game gets shut down forever.
As for where to start hunting down these double movie passes, you’ll want to look for Free Guy movie posters around the likes of Winn Lane, Wickham Street and Ann Street in Fortitude Valley, Abbotsford Road in Bowen Hills, Stoneham Street in Stonescorner, and Vulture & Besant Street in West End. Be quick though, there are only five double passes to find.
Each hidden double pass will be available from Monday, 9 August. You can catch Free Guy in cinemas from Thursday,12 August.
