Warm up your vocal chords, musical lovers, because Frozen The Broadway Musical is coming to Brisbane soon, and you are going to want to sing along at the top of your lungs.
Yep, the incredible stage version of the iconic Disney movie is coming our way, after seasons in both Sydney and Melbourne. You could try protesting that you’re way too old to be catching a Disney musical, but we know that secretly you know every word to ‘Let It Go’ and harbour fantasies of living in an ice castle.
Whether you’re six or 36, this production from the producers of Aladdin, The Lion King and Mary Poppins is bound to be a magical experience—there’s a reason it was the highest grossing new musical of its Broadway season in its first year on Broadway. The Aussie cast features Queensland’s own Courtney Monsma as Anna, Jemma Rix in the role of Elsa, Matt Lee as Olaf, Thomas McGuane as Hans, Sean Sinclair as Kristoff, Aljin Abella as Weselton and sharing the role of Sven, Jonathan MacMillan and Lochie McIntrye.
“Frozen is about a return from isolation and a community healing. And to now bring this show to beautiful Brisbane – which so warmly welcomed The Lion King, Mary Poppins and Aladdin – is a thrill, particularly since it’s the home state of our glorious Anna, Courtney Monsma. We are delighted to be coming back to Australia,” said Thomas Schumacher, President and Producer at Disney Theatrical Productions.
Hitting QPAC in February 2022, tickets go on sale in November, and if you sign up to the waitlist, you’ll get access to the pre-sale starting at 9am on Monday 8 November—which we recommend, as tickets to this are going to go fast.
In the meantime, why not check out this Christmas-themed mini golf?
