New Tickets Just Dropped For Frozen The Musical In Brisbane

By Tim Piccione

Good news, Brissy—after sweeping Sydney and Melbourne, Frozen The Musical is heading to Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) this February, making it the perfect gift.

After a tumultuous year—going in and out of lockdowns and missing the experience of live performances—why not kick off 2022 in style with a banger of a show?

But, if there's one thing we want to make clear, this isn't just a children’s show. After all, we know Disney content is often more impactful for adults—helping us dive deep into our feelings about self, relationships and the existential meaning of life. If you cried in The Lion King, Wall-E or Up, you know exactly what we’re talking about.

So, if you’ve been living under a rock these past eight years or haven’t watched Oscar-winning Frozen the movie on repeat at the behest of your niece or nephew, here’s what to expect story-wise.

Anna sets off on a journey with a mountain man, a reindeer and a snowman to find her estranged sister, Elsa, a queen with magical powers who inadvertently casts a spell on the kingdom and plunges it into an eternal winter. You know, typical family squabbles in the life of a Disney princess.

But, at the end of the day, musicals offer so much more than just a great story. They are a grand spectacle and an all-encompassing experience, and this one delivers with an inspiring, dazzling tale of sisterhood brought to life with sensational special effects.

Even if you’re new to the story, there’s a good chance you’ve seen the long blonde hair and blue dress costumes of Elsa. Or that you’ve heard the absolute anthem 'Let It Go', empowering karaoke singers (for better or worse) across the world since the film was released in 2013.

Best of all, you can get the Broadway experience without it costing you an arm and a leg. Tickets for Frozen The Musical start at $49.50, and you can save up to $31 per ticket if you opt for mid-week evening performances instead.

By now, you probably already have 'Let It Go' stuck in your head, and the powerhouse tune is an apt anthem for putting these recent times behind us. So, don’t miss your chance to see it performed live in 2022 and grab your tickets here before they sell out.
