As Brisbane’s burgeoning hotel scene continues to grow, yet another international boutique hotel brand has arrived on our shores, with Hotel Indigo bringing their eclectic style to the city.
Australia’s second Hotel Indigo (the first being Adelaide’s pink-hued stunner) the new Brisbane location is an achingly hip boutique stay which encompasses 212 rooms, a Japanese restaurant, Izakaya Publico, and even a speakeasy bar, dubbed 1603.
Enter via the giant red doors on Burnett Lane and you’ll find interiors inspired by Brisbane’s transformative stories, hidden artistic flair and eclectic characters. No two Hotel Indigos are the same, so even if you’ve stayed at one of the boutique brands around the world, you can expect a whole new experience here.
Murals painted by local artists adorn the hotel corridors, while the rooms themselves have faintly retro vibes, with deep blue feature walls, industrial lighting, pop-out desks and sleek tiled bathrooms. The standard queen rooms are sizeable, but there’s also the option of one bedroom suites for those in need of somewhere to lounge.
We foresee that the onsite restaurant and bar won’t just be a hit with guests—Izakaya Publico will dish up Japanese eats like bonito tataki and kushiyaki skewers in a warm, leather booth-lined space while 1603 gives off serious Tokyo laneway bar vibes, and is set to soon start pouring beer, wine and signature sake cocktails.
Bookings for Hotel Indigo are open now, and you can lock in a stay here.
