BrisAsia’s annual cultural event to celebrate the Lunar New Year is hitting Brisbane once again in February, and introducing Laneway Tea Festival to its tasty lineup.
On Saturday 12 February, stroll down trendy Fish Lane to explore 12 local tea vendors, Asian street food, and DJs and live bands playing throughout the day to accompany your sipping experience.
As well as purchasing and sampling hot and iced teas, bubble teas and artisan blends, you can dig a little deeper with 30-minute global exploration sessions with Tour de Tea, sipping on teas from around the world as you learn about the careful process from geography and growing conditions and recognising regional characteristics.
The Steepery Tea Co. will also be exploring the art and science of tea brewing, including demonstrations of various methods (plus tastings, of course), and World Tea Brewers Cup 2019 Champion Danny Andrade will demonstrate his award-winning tea mocktails and specialty drinks (with more tastings).
For the serious tea fans, there'll also be a two-litre bubble tea drinking comp hosted by Teaology Lab. You brew-ty!
