If you’ve been yearning for those blissful summer vacay vibes, then we have the next best thing for you. This summer, one of Brisbane’s favourite rooftops, MAYA Mexican, has been transformed into a desert villa oasis dubbed DESERT HOUSE—in partnership with Patron—to transport you to the balmy nights of Mexico.
Brimming with carefree vibes and Yucatan influences, MAYA is always home to both delicious food and live beats but this summer, the venue will host an impressive calendar of renowned Aussie artists—including Bagraiders and the Jungle Giants—to close out the year in euphoric, celebratory style.
But the largest and most ambitious event in the DESERT HOUSE calendar—and what we’re especially hyped for—will be ‘DEEP PLAYA’—a three-day festival-like event inspired by the infamous Burning Man festival in the Nevada Desert. Kicking off at sunset on 31 December and headlined by revered, sun-soaked house DJ and Producer Alex Preston, the New Year’s Event will be followed by a vibing all-day party on New Year’s Day and wrap with MAYA’s renowned Sunday event DISCOLOCO on 2 January.
If you’re looking for the perfect place to unwind, sip a few freshly-shaken Patron margaritas and watch the sun set on 2021, DESERT HOUSE is where it’s at. We’ll see you at the bar.
The Details:
What: DESERT HOUSE
