A Huge Exhibition Of Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel Is Coming To Brisbane

Right up there with the Mona Lisa, the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel is one of the most famous artworks in the world. A masterpiece of epic proportions, the mural is so detailed that you can barely take it all in—especially since you have to crane your neck to see it high up on the ceiling.

Well now there’s an exhibition that lets you get up close and personal with Michelangelo’s iconic work—and it’s coming to Brisbane this month. ‘Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition’ is heading for West End after touring the world over. This life-size re-creation of each fresco from the Sistine Chapel has been brought to life using highly detailed photos, meaning you can see every detail, brushstroke and colour as you wander through the exhibit,

If you are lucky enough to have seen the Sistine Chapel in real life, the exhibition is a totally different experience, allowing you to see much more detail than the original. And if not? Well this is your chance to get acquainted with it, because who knows when we’ll be able to holiday in Italy again.

Brought to us by entertainment discovery platform Fever, the exhibition is taking over The Ice Cream Factory at West Village from 27 October to 5 January, and will be open from Wednesdays to Sundays. Tickets start at $22 for adults and you can book them here
