Monet In Paris Is The Multi-Sensory Monet Exhibition That Has Come To Brisbane

By – who always has time to go to breakfast, no matter how busy she is.

The impressionist era was a time in art history when artists started focusing on capturing the fleeting impressions of light and color in their work. Monet was a leading figure in this movement, known for his breathtaking landscapes and depictions of water lilies. His paintings are characterized by loose brushstrokes and a sense of movement, giving the viewer the feeling of being immersed in the scene. His work is peppered throughout major art institutions all around the world, but sadly, none reside here in Brisbane.

For a short time, however, Grande Experiences is giving Brisbane a major dose of Monet, along with a heap more of the world's most renowned artists of the Impressionist era, at Monet In Paris.

The digital exhibition group is back after wowing the city with Van Gogh Alive—the moving multisensory exhibition that charted the tragic life and beautiful oeuvre of the ginger bearded Dutch master. It was a beguiling show and a totally new way to appreciate paintings and painters of the past, featuring fragrance, music, and some 3,000 enormous crystal clear images beamed across towering walls, floors, ceilings, and more.

Monet In Paris follows the same super-scale immersive make-up. Instead of peering at canvases from afar in a hushed museum, you’ll plunge into the sights and sounds of bohemian Paris and the lush countryside of France, with breath-taking paintings projected on an enormous scale.

Be immersed in Monet’s Water Lilies and dance with Degas’ ballerinas as the walls around you illuminate the loose brushwork of Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne, Edgar Degas, Berthe Morisot, Mary Cassatt and many more. As with Van Gogh Alive, the new exhibition is also accompanied by a scent and music to really set the mood.

The exhibition is hitting Brisbane from Wednesday 7 June to a newly extended finish date of Sunday 27 August, with the spectacular Grand Palais, a 250-metre square custom designed super-scaled marquee featuring six break-out spaces, bars, a café and gift shop once again popping up at Northshore Hamilton.

Monet In Paris has even teamed up with Never Never Distilling Co for a menu of bespoke cocktails at the bar. As you enjoy the experience you can sip on absinthe from the frosted absinthe fountain in the dedicated Absinthe bar or order up  a G&T or cocktail made with Never Never's award-winning Triple Juniper Gin, coastal highballs built with their Oyster Shell Gin and Blood Orange Spritzes featuring  their Ginache Grenache Gin.

Tickets are on sale now and you can get them here.
