This Floating Airbnb On The Noosa River Can Only Be Accessed By Row Boat

If you’ve always wanted to live out your island dreams in a floating villa, but never had the time for a trip to the Maldives, we’ve found an Airbnb that might just be your ideal weekend getaway. Just up on the Sunshine Coast is Oasis, a luxury eco villa floating on the Noosa River and only accessible by rowboat.

Wake up on this tiny houseboat and you’ll find yourself in complete privacy, with only pelicans for neighbours. With space enough for a queen bed, kitchenette, dining table, bathroom and a large deck where you can enjoy the sunsets, the villa is almost completely enclosed in floor-to-ceiling windows, meaning you can make the most of the water views but also draw the blinds when you’re ready to get some shut eye. It’s also fitted out with state of the art solar panels, water desalination equipment and a waste management system, so don’t worry that you’ll be giving up the necessities.

While it’s moored just a few metres from shore, access is usually by boat, so you might want to pack light. During your stay you’ll also have the use of SUP boards, kayaks, snorkel masks and fishing rods, to really take advantage of the watery location. Bonus, Noosa’s Hastings Street is just a quick row and stroll away for dining out, boutique shopping and beach lazing if you need to feel the sand between your toes.

Priced at about $620 per night (with a two night minimum), Oasis is a one-of-a-kind experience worth putting on your bucket list. Check it out and book your stay here
