Forget stuffy concert halls; here in Brisbane/Meanjin we’re lucky to enjoy sun-soaked days perfect for grooving under the sky which is why we’re particularly stoked for this brand-new outdoor live concert series—bringing a stellar lineup of international and Australian acts to South Bank’s Cultural Forecourt.

On The Banks is set to transform the green space into a vibrant live music venue from 1 to 22 March 2026, complete with bars and catering on the Brisbane River. With the city skyline as your backdrop and a melting pot of alternative, pop, garage, R&B, and hip-hop sounds on the stage, it’s definitely a welcome addition to Brisbane’s thumping live music scene.

Who’s on the lineup at On The Banks?

Big names from on and off our shores have been secured for the inaugural On The Banks. There’s the playful De La Soul, beat-driven The Streets, hyper-pop sensation Peach PRC, the cinematic Marlon Williams and heartfelt Bernard Fanning, plus more Australian and international acts set to be announced in early 2026.

With the majority of the gigs happening on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, you can also expect full-blown parties and one-night-only festivals. On Sunday 1 March, there’s Droppin’ Science—a night dedicated to hip hop in all its forms—while Saturday 7 March will see Australia’s feel-good phenomenon and sell-out favourites DISCO CLUB will light up the night—playing hits from the 80s, 90s, 00s and beyond perfectly timed for International Women’s Day weekend.

Plus, it wouldn’t be a South Bank event without bangin’ food, which is why Blockbuster will be coming through on Saturday 21 March in a colourful blend of Punjabi music, food and cultural flair in its Queensland debut.
