What's On

Snack On Unlimited Popcorn At This Valentine’s Day Float In Cinema

By Morgan Reardon

Forget Netflix and chill this Valentine's Day, instead get comfy on an inflatable pool recliner in W Brisbane’s pool instead. Taking over the luxe hotel’s WET Deck for three romantic nights only, these open air cinemas will have you watching your favourite rom coms from prime position in the pool, with the option to slide off your recliner and into the water whenever you feel the urge.

Bonus, instead of just sipping on whatevers in the fridge, you can order up cocktails and have them delivered to your chair in the pool—how’s that for service? Pro tip: make sure you sample their "One In A Melon" signature cocktail with pink gin, watermelon, berries, orange blossom, citrus and egg white.

Screening over Monday 12, Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 February will be three films picked out for Valentine's Day—La La Land, The Notebook and Valentine's Day. Whether you catch one of them with your significant other or your besties, they're sure to have you feeling the love. And despite the forecast of downpours, there’s no need to worry about poor weather either—W Brisbane’s WET Deck is totally undercover, as is the bar where you can enjoy a pre or post-flick drink while you soak up the views.

Now onto the really important things—like the food and drinks on offer. Each ticket comes with your choice of a cheese, savoury or sweet grazing box, plus ether a glass of bubble or one of those cocktails we mentioned and unlimited sweet or salty popcorn. Plus you can order extra cocktails, champange, beer and wine throughout the night, with plush towels provided if you opt to escape the heat and take that dip. Tickets will set you back $115pp and you can find all the details and book tickets here.
