Book A Table At This Swanky Valley Spot For 4 Or More And You’ll Score A Free Bottle Of Veuve

By

If you’re sussing out where to book your next culinary catch up with your mates,  we’ve found a special spot that will not only score you bragging rights for life, but you’ll snag a free bottle of champagne to sip with your favourite people. Nope, that’s not a typo.

If you haven’t yet had the chance one of Brisbane’s most talked about new restaurants TAMA, consider this your sign. The vibing Valley restaurant, who are famous for their caviar bumps, stacked seafood menu, stellar service and achingly cool interior, have teamed up with Veuve Clicquot to give diners a solid celebration of their first birthday. Simply reserve a table for four or more people at the hatted eatery, until 23 September, and you’ll receive a complimentary bottle of Veuve Clicquot to sip while you throw back oysters, melt-in-your-mouth steak and lobster.

Each guest must order a main meal to score your free bottle of champs—but trust us, that won’t be hard. The drool-worthy menu is created by Australian chef of the year Richard Ousby (ex Quay Sydney and Stokehouse), so you know it’s the goods.

What’s On The Menu

Need a bit of inspo? Start with some share snacks to whet your appetite like the moreish prawn toast packed with juicy local prawns, yuzu and prosciutto, bug rolls and warm native akoya pearl oysters served with sake butter

For mains, you won’t regret the crab bisque linguine served tableside right from the pan. The octopus served with chorizo, harissa and whipped garlic, as well as the wagyu burger and duck with native apple and beetroot are all winners too.

The star of the show here though has to be the Spanish-imported Josper charcoal oven that cooks a selection of seasonal land and sea produce to absolute perfection. We’re talking juicy Tasmanian lobster smothered in garlic butter, spiced Moreton Bay bugs in a lemon chilli sauce, tender lamb rack, and a two kilo full-blood wagyu tomahawk steak exclusively sourced from award-winning producer Stone Axe, who typically only export their best beef overseas. Add a sauce or two (the bone marrow butter and Manjimup black truffle are a must), and don’t sleep on the sides. The mac and cheese and the caviar mash potato with bernaise and a herb crust seriously slaps.

Once you’ve polished off your bottle of bubbles, follow it up with a cocktail or two. We love TAMA’s seasonal signature tipples, like the mango-lime daiquiri and strawberry mojito - it tastes like spring is just around the corner. More of a vino-lover? Sommelier Alan Hunter curated a seriously stunning bevvy menu including rare French wines, independent champagnes, and local Aussie drops.
