Watch This Year’s Superbowl, Aussie-Style!

Nothing screams ‘quintessential Australia’ quite like getting a group of your best pals together, settling at one of Brisbane’s best bars, cracking open a few craft brews and watching…the NFL Superbowl. Huh?

NFL (aka ‘grid-iron’), is big news guys; you think we could simply embrace American food without the culture too!? For anyone that has ZERO clue about the Superbowl, here’s all you need to know: reigning champs, the Seattle Seahawks, are set to play the New England Patriots in a battle of grown men in padded lycra. Immerse yourself in 3-hours of sportsmen putting their bodies on the line, check out that hot Patriot Quarterback (married to supermodel Giselle Bundchen), and witness those infamous Superbowl ads (Google Kimmy K and T Mobile, you’ll see what I mean).

So, where can you watch this fine American sporting event in Brisbane? TUL fave, Embassy Craft Beer Bar have come over all red, white, and blue this year, putting on a live screening of the 2015 Superbowl. Though the official start time isn’t until 9:30am AEST, make a day of it with the mother of all breakfasts before kick-off, followed by an equally impressive lunch option. Hot tip: if you buy brekky and lunch together, you get a free bevvie. Nice!

From 8am on Monday 2nd February, Embassy Craft Beer Bar have pulled out all the stops, with an early licence and a whopper of a breakfast on offer for $20. Wrap your laughing gear around Turkish style eggs with beer glazed ham; beans and cherry tomatoes, pumpkin, corn and haloumi fritters; jalapeno savoury mince and avocado; along with Bloody Caesars (the American equivalent of our beloved Mary) and Stone & Wood Pacific Ale beermosas—the ultimate breakfast cocktail!

If you do want to see it through—and it will hook you in—make a day of the Superbowl action with Embassy Craft Beer Bar’s decidedly American-themed lunch option for $20 to line the belly, plus specially imported American craft beers available all day. Think sliders, pork bbq ribs, buffalo wings, plus crisp Sierra Nevada beers—the works.

We suggest booking your spot for the day in advance; this one’s gonna be a biggie! Call Embassy Craft Beer Bar to make your reservation.
