If you never miss an explosive superhero flick, you're going to love the latest bar and eatery to hit the Valley. Hidden down California Lane is 1st Edition, an explosive comic book-inspired venue that seats just 22 diners.

Venture through the doors and you'll find a narrow, dimly lit bar dripping in superheroes, with street art murals covering the walls and a bar top lined with comic book panels. Basically, it's a lair any comic nerd would dream of. 

On the menu, you'll find a line-up of pan-Asian small plates with Mexican, American and French influences, all designed for sharing. Start with the likes of cheeseburger gyozas and beef tartare with miso aioli before moving on to spanner crab with burnt butter emulsion or the MB 7 wagyu with bacon bordelaise and burnt cream.

When it comes to ordering drinks, you'll finally find a use for all that Marvel and DC knowledge, with a list that features the likes of the Doctor Strange, with Maud's Rhubarb & Violette Gin, lemon, lavendar and simple syrup, or the Harley Quinn, with dry gin, lemon, Persian fairy floss, gold flakes and rose cuvee.

There's three seatings each night, and if you opt for the last one, you can stick around and keep sipping those cocktails, with a DJ hitting the decks in the loft on Friday and Saturday nights.
