looking into a wine bar with an emeral green wall

Late 2022 brought the stunning Adelita Wine Bar to Brisbane’s bayside and we’re so glad it did. Beaming with gorgeous emerald tones, this is a chilled spot to sip an evening away with vinos from some of Australia’s best wine makers and snack on modern-Australian eats. Whether you want to perch up at the marble bar, sink into a lounge chair with a cocktail or nab a table for a decadent meal, there’s a place for you here.

Allow us to give you a glimpse into their summer menu—to start off we’re talking freshly shucked oysters with a squeeze of lemon, marinated Australian olives, bush spiced roasted nuts or a moreish charcuterie plate. To follow, you might want to indulge in gooey burrata served with bottarga, leek jam and blistered heirloom tomatoes; fermented crumpets with curried egg and spanner crab; or a slow cooked lamb shoulder served with peas, beans and mint. And of course, you can’t forget about dessert and Adelita is not lacking in the sweet treat department—choose between the pavlova served up with passionfruit, mango, lemon and smoked vanilla cream, or a golden gaytime with caramel, chocolate, macadamia and vegemite.

It couldn’t call itself a wine bar without a solid list of tipples, and what a list it has. On the wine front, you’ll find hundreds of sips, from international classics to experimental local drops. There’s also more than a few cocktails to choose from—out-of-the-box offerings include the Beer-noffie Pie, with banana-washed dark rum, beer, ginger and nutmeg, or the Ham & Pineapple, with coconut fat-washed bourbon, toasted walnuts, spiced apple, pineapple and pork crackle.
