Antica by Pizzantica
The Verdict
From a pizza oven on the wheels of an iconic VW Kombi, to a permanent pizzeria in Casa Italia New Farm, the minds behind Pizzantica have answered the prayers of Brisbanites and opened up a flagship restaurant in Wilston.
With a full menu of over 20 pizzas, every fan of Italian flavours will find something to sink their teeth into, with red and white bases and options for vegans as well.
You’ll find your classics such as margherita or prosciutto pizzas, but why not try the signature, which comes in the form of a long pizza split in half with tomato, burrata and balsamic pearls on one side and fig, honey and goats cheese on the other?
It may be a pizzeria, but you mustn’t forget the pasta; expect linguine allo scoglio with mixed seafood and Napoli sauce, or house-made gnocchi with mushrooms, truffle paste, truffle oil, cream, parmesan and parsley.
After dinner, try their angioletti (fried dough) with Nutella, coconut and Ferrero Rocher, or maybe the cannoli al limoncello.
You can make a booking to visit Antica on their website.
