Azure Mediterranean

Euro summer is popping up in one of Brisbane’s most delicious waterfront dining precincts, drawing on coastal Mediterranean influences and riverside escapes. 

Azure Mediterranean has landed at River Quay, joining the likes of OTTO Brisbane, Naga Thai and Popolo. It’s the latest venture by Alemre Group, who are behind Brisbane staples like Ole, VICI Italian and Downtown Istanbul. 

On the menu you can expect share plates like the lamb rump with orzo, spanner crab lasagna, Moreton Bay bug rolls, and a seafood platter that features premium Queensland produce you can graze on while soaking in the river views. 

As for drinks, a dedicated spritz menu and a curated selection of Australian and European wines make for smooth sipping. But it’s the cocktail we have our eye on, like the Olio Sour with extra virgin olive oil for a velvety finish. 

“There’s something about being beside the river that naturally changes the pace of how people spend time,” said Alemre Group General Manager, Brandon Orr. 

“People arrive for lunch and end up staying into the evening. We wanted Azure to feel like an escape from the city without ever leaving Brisbane—somewhere that captures that Mediterranean rhythm of long afternoons, shared food and sunset drinks."

Azure Mediterranean officially opens 24 June and will be running as a limited-time pop-up until March 2027.
