Picture this—European Bistro meets stunning heritage bank in the centre of Brisbane’s CBD. Yes, you read that right, a restaurant inside what was once a bank. Banc Brasserie & Wine Bar has incorporated the gorgeous architecture of this long-standing heritage structure and revamped the space with tasteful modern touches, making this restaurant truly one-of-a-kind.
On top of offering an iconic setting for your dining experience, this brasserie boasts a decadent menu that features traditional European dishes and French influences, with plenty of must-try dishes on offer. Dishing up the likes of beef tartare and duck parfait to start, with the classic steak frites, quail roulade or a wild mushroom risotto for mains, we suggest dropping in for lunch on your next shopping day out in the city and trying it for yourself.
The bar area is open for coffee and pastries from 7.30 each morning, but post-midday you’ll want to scope out the lengthy wine list with the option to try some of the more top shelf labels by the glass. If cocktails are more your style, you can choose from a simple but sophisticated selection all named after the banking world.
