Bar Alto

Bar Alto takes pride of place in the Brisbane Powerhouse, one of Brisbane's leading underground arts and entertainment precincts. The architecturally designed, renovated industrial space provides a perfect backdrop to one of the most laid back and beautiful bars in Brisbane, and one of its best Italian restaurants. With an open timber balcony overlooking the Brisbane river, a well chosen wine list, well-made cocktails and delicious casual Italian readily available, Bar Alto the place to be on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

No trip to Bar Alto is complete without ordering a pot of the mussels, and a plate of zucchini fritters (trust us on this), but the whole menu is journey through elevated Italian cuisine. If you just want to stick to the Alto signatures, the ricotta, pumpkin and burnt sage butter crespelle practically has it's own fan club, while the slow cooked lamb shoulder with jus is perfect for sharing with a group.
