Bar Tano

Sister venue to Gemelli Italian right next door, Bar Tano is an opulent aperitivo bar decked out in green marble polished concrete and shiny mirrors. The bar is the perfect spot for pre-dinner Aperol spritz before heading to Gemelli for an Italian feast, but if you get too comfortable to move, you can just settle in for the night with plates of salumi and a journey through the lengthy wine list.

You may not actually be able to move after working your way through their cocktail list, which is an impressive seven pages long and features everything from hibiscus-flavoured pisco sours to peanut coladas, as well as all the Italian classics of course.

Best of all, Thursday afternoons are dedicated to jazz and oysters, with live music, $2 oysters and cheeky tipples on offer from 5pm-8pm every week. Why wait for Friday for post-work drinks—we say Thursdays are the new Fridays.
