If you go loco for ribs, you’re in for a real treat. West End fave Big Roddy’s has opened a second location in Fortitude Valley, and it's about to be your go-to for perfectly tender, sticky, juicy and gorgeously glazed ribs.
Even bigger and better than the original, the new location is everything you want in an American rib house—dimly lit so no one can get a good look at your sauce covered face and full of cosy leather booths to make sharing those ribs nice and easy. As well as the classic pork and beef ribs, the hoppin' spot dishes up drool-worthy comfort food eats like burgers, Canadian poutine, mac 'n' cheese stuffed jalenpeño poppers and chilli fries.
The best part? You'll find no bottled sauces here, instead everything is made in house from scratch, using local meats and produce. You can wash it all down with local brews, a handful of Australian wines and basic spirits. Keep an eye out for Simpsons references on the menu and around the venue too—ribwich, anyone?
