Opening on 12 October is C’est Du Gâteau, Brisbane’s newest French bakery and patisserie. Landing on Grey Street in South Bank, this heavenly spot comes to us from two French pastry chefs, Sebastien and Fred, who’ve worked their way around Europe and Brisbane, and are now keen to share their croissant-making skills with the South Bank masses. 

Even if you’re not a parklands regular, you might want to travel for these treats, with plenty more than just croissants on offer. Sweet treats to choose from will include flaky pain au chocolats, almond croissants, lemon meringue tarts and mille feuilles, while on the savoury side you can bite into the likes of ruben or slow-cooked BBQ pulled pork croissants.
