Newstead has scored itself a new neighbourhood wine bar in the form of Commercial Road Public Bar. Taking up residence above a quiet side street just off Commercial Road, the new bar is inspired by the New York Fashion Week scene of the 1980s—and has the interiors and playlist to match.
Grab a stool by the open windows overlooking the street below and sip your way through the extensive range of natural, biodynamic and organic wines, or opt for something off the list of classic cocktails (which includes low ABV concoctions for a chilled weeknight drink). A handful of craft beers round out the drinks menu, and all of it goes down well with the Italian-inspired food menu of pizzas and apertif bites.
