New Thai-inspired cafe C’sis Espresso has just landed in Bowen Hills, bringing both decadent pancake stacks and hearty lunchtime curries to a cosy cottage on Brookes Street. Sister venue to Norman Park fave Clancy’s Espresso, the two cafes share the same DNA (and the same massaman beef curry with roti on the menu), but C’sis is no copycat venue, instead dishing up a personality all of its own.
Having taken over the space left vacant by Plant Vibes, C’sis has of course made sure to include plenty of vegan options on their menu, like the cheese queso loaded with tofu scramble, sausage, avocado, sriracha mayo and pico de gallo, and their decadent acai bowls. There’s plenty of brunch options for the non-vegans as well though, from the roasted potato benedict to an epic ricotta pancake stack that will sate any sweet tooth.
Not in the mood for brunch? The all-day menu also dishes up Thai-inspired lunch plates like spaghetti tom yum prawns, spicy chicken burgers and a melt-in-your-mouth massaman beef curry with crispy roti. If you’re in a hurry, you can also grab something from the cabinet of sweet and savoury treats at the front counter, or just order yourself a takeaway coffee or smoothie.
