Dirty Sultan
The Verdict
Turkish-inspired and Instagram-ready, Dirty Sultan has taken over the rooftop of The Constance hotel in Fortitude Valley (yep, where Up On Constance used to be). Though the views are pretty spectacular from the massive daybeds lining the edge, you’ll probably be too busy eyeing up the venue to notice, because this baby is quite the looker, featuring pastel-pink soft chairs, velvet bench seating under a vibrant mural, green walls and haning Turkish lanterns.
The cocktail list is definitely the star of the show here. Sip on Middle Eastern-inspired creations like the Farah, an espresso martini made using Turkish coffee, a sweet Turkish Delight or the Emira, which involves butter-washed baklava bourbon. To eat, you can nibble on shared plates like the meze platter piled with cheese and spinach gozleme, pumpkin and beetroot hummus and Turkish bread, Turkish pide stuffed with fillings, or sticky honey chicken wings.
