Promising refined and modern Chinese, Donna Chang is the three-tiered restaurant that’s transforming the way we think about Chinese cuisine in Brisbane.
Brought to us by the Ghanem Group that masterminded Blackbird Bar & Grill, Byblos, and Lord of the Wings, this latest venture is a feast for the senses. Under the keen eye of group executive chef, Jake Nicolson, will join forces with Spice Temple’s Jason Margaritis and Shawn Gomes of Il Centro fame to bring Brisbane the cutting edge of modern Chinese dining.
Trading out of a Heritage-listed, neo-classical building on George Street, the harmony between modernity and antiquity defines Donna Chang. The menu sees ancient Cantonese cuisine and Sichuan flavours executed with modern techniques, and the resultant feast makes for an ultra-modern fine dining experience.
Downstairs in the basement level, new bar The Boom Boom Room is shaking cocktails in the space where the building’s bank vaults used to be.
