Ember & Ash

There’s a new resident on the corner of Alfred and Constance in Fortitude Valley that’s the place to be from AM to PM. 

Ember & Ash is a multi-dimensional venue with three different spaces that each offer a distinctly different experience—connected by a shared philosophy of fire-led cooking, premium produce and elevated hospitality.

The main restaurant is moody and elevated, with dishes honed by charcoal, smoke and open flame that you can enjoy in the cosy booths or intimate tables. The rooftop is lively and made for sunset sessions or late-night shenanigans powered by refreshing signature cocktails. And the laidback cafe is everything you want in a morning ritual: simple, consistent and familiar. 

Woodfire cooking reigns supreme across each touchpoint of Ember & Ash. In the cafe, that looks like elevated classics with a strong emphasis on flavour and presentation, like their coal-smoked avocado and beef fat hash-browns with bone marrow crumb. Upstairs you can fill your table with small plates made for sharing or simply keep a wagyu sando for yourself. Meanwhile, the restaurant offers a signature selection of dry aged beef—but it’s the lobster dagwood dogs that we’ll be coming back for. 

On the drinks front, the wine list is curated to pair with the bold and smoky dishes, and the cocktails are highly session-able. Whether you’re coming for a coffee or champagne, Ember & Ash will deliver.
