Luke Nguyen's famed South-East Asian eatery has a new look and a new location, with Fat Noodle having made the move over to The Star Brisbane with the opening of Queen's Wharf. If you're a longtime regular, you'll be happy to know that those legendary 20-hour Fat Pho noodles, seafood laksa and of course, Luke's chicken salad are still on the menu, but they have been joined by some new flavours—so it might be time for a revisit.

Now situated inside The Star Brisbane's casino floor (so you will need to be over 18 to dine), the new eatery is just as stylish as the original, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the gaming floor in a spacious, open venue adorned in wicker baskets and lush greenery. It's walk-in only so no need to book ahead—though you can expect to queue on busy nights.

Ordering at least one of Ngueyn's signature dishes is a must (we can never go past the seafood pad Thai), but the best way to dine here is to take a crew and load up the table with plates of steamed dumplings, Saigon rice cakes, Vietnames spring rolls and Vietnamese XO bug from the grill. Be sure to finish with at least a spoonful of the coconut creme carmel.
