Hellenika
Widely recognised as one of the best restaurants on the Gold Coast, Hellenika has finally (finally!) made its way to Brisbane.
Housed on the rooftop, and overlooking the very classy open-air pool of boutique hotel, The Calile, Hellenika is peak summer hangs, giving off serious greek island vibes, which translates very simply as the perfect day-to-night, drinking and dining haunt James Street was hanging out for.
The menu reads like an authentic Greek taverna (only with way more pizazz) and the food is the stuff of Euro-holiday dreams; think golden saganaki, veal dolmades, wood-fired pork belly, octopus and the not-to-be-missed house speciality of baked lamb.
A total dining bucket list, this incredible Brisbane restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, and is the place to tuck in to classic faves without the pomp and pretence, but still being a classy joint that is the jewel in the Fortitude Valley dining scene. Opa!
