If the name hasn’t already given it away, this contemporary Japanese restaurant specialises in all things katsu. Made fresh in house, the delish Japanese dish consists of a breaded and deep-fried cut of meat or seafood served in a signature set with katsu sauce, rice, salad and miso soup—is your mouth watering yet?
The star of the show here is their cheese katsu—mozzarella cheese wrapped with pork loin and coated in lightly fried panko crumb, featuring a thick cheese pull that will leave you begging for more. For all the vegetarians out there, don’t stress, as you certainly won’t miss out on the crispy goodness with the tofu katsu and range of noodle dishes to suck your teeth into, including a carbonara udon so creamy you'll be ready to swap out spaghetti for udon permanently.
With a second location in North Lakes to complement their Sherwood venue, KatsuCo is definitely worth the drive in either direction. So, if you find yourself craving the taste of Japan and a good cheese pull, make sure you hunt down what is undoubtedly the best katsu restaurant in Brisbane.
