The Verdict

Just one of the many delicious Asian eateries in Brisbane CBD's FudoDori arcade, Koto Sanpo is inspired by the teahouses of Kyoto. Literally translating to "a peaceful stroll around Kyoto," the cafe is set out like a long pathway, with booth seating in an industrial themed interior that makes use of natural wood, concrete and dark greens.

Though they dish up savoury eats like bento boxes, udon, sandos, sushi bowls and more, it's the matcha-filled teas and sweet treats are the stars of the show here. But don't expect just matcha lattes and soft serve—here you'll find the likes of matcha jelly latte floats, matcha tiramisu parfaits, matcha French toast and double matcha viennas. Other must tries include fluffy Japanese pancakes topped with cream and ice cream—basically, you'll want to skip the main and go straight for dessert.
