Newly landing in the iconic Stamford Plaza by the riverfront is La Boca Bar And Grill—a unique fusion of authentic Argentinian cooking and local produce. Argnentinian cuisine is all about cooking over fire, and here you’ll see the massive open flame fireplaces in the heart of the kitchen grilling and smoking tender cuts of aged meat—it’s an experience as much as a hearty dinner spot. 

With colourful seating both inside by the open kitchen and outside along the riverfront, the eatery is perfect for everything from weekday lunches to a weekend dinner with your bestie. They offer a stellar express lunch option if it’s the former—for just $22 you can choose from chicken, lamb shoulder and wagyu rump to pair with sides like truffle fries, grilled pumpkin or ancient grain and spinach salsa. 

If you’re keen for a full Argentinian spread though, the dinner menu is where it’s at. Start with dinner, start with small plates like potato fritters with prosciutto and porcini, grilled tiger prawns, or sweet corn and cheese empanadas, then indulge in something from the grill, fire pit, or seafood market. You’ll have a hard time choosing from options like 120 day grain fed entraña steak from the grill, the lamb shoulder or pork belly served up with your choice of sauce, flat bread, truffle fries or grilled pumpkin from the Asador fire pit, or Moreton Bay bugs from the seafood market. For the meat lovers who can’t restrain themselves to just one cut, La Boca also offers up a butcher’s selection platter—we’re talking succulent free-range chicken, crispy pork belly, tender beef and lamb asado served with pork chorizo and salt bush lamb sausage. 

Let’s not forget about dessert either, because of course there are traditional Argentinian churros to indulge in, along with burnt basque cheesecake and pecan and toffee stuffed empanadas. To compliment, we recommend sipping on a few of their signature cocktails, like the Chill Pill featuring jalapeño gin, rosemary syrup, lime and pineapple juice, or their Tall Dark and Ginger featuring spiced dark rum, pineapple juice, lemon, fresh ginger, dried chillies and ginger beer.
