You’re probably already well and truly familiar with Little Red Dumpling—this popular dumpling eatery has venues right across the city, from north to south and east to west. Their latest location though, might just be their best yet, hidden inside the basement of the old St Luke’s Church Of England in the city—the same church you’ll find Pancake Manor housed in just upstairs.
Venture down the stairs to the basement spot and you’ll find a colourful venue lined with exposed brick and filled with wicker chairs, cosy booths and hanging red lanterns. If you’re a regular, you’ll recognise most of the menu—it’s filled with a variety of dumplings, wontons and noodle soups, plus the hedgehog buns and Chinese doughnuts you need to order for dessert.
To drink, there’s the usual selection of specialty iced teas and sodas, local and international beers and a handful of wines, but soon, you’ll also be able to order up Asian-inspired cocktails—count us in for a few of those.
Trying to find it? Just look for the doorway to the right of Pancake Manor, and head down the stairs inside.
