Macho Macho

Not many coffee places lead a double life, but Macho Macho in Ashgrove certainly does. A quaint little cafe by day, Macho Macho moonlights as a swanky, cool bar and eatery by night.

Lit by neon and adorned by an incredible mural done up by Joel Birch (who also lives a double life as part artist, part musician. Overachieving, much?), Macho Macho serves up three of the most important things; coffee, food and alcohol.

Their double act means double the menus; dishing up an incredible breakfast menu that serves up doozies like crab, corn and avocado omelette, then come sundown the menu flits between bigs and smalls that are perfect to share with a cocktail or two. You could pick up some crispy fish tacos or cassoulet duck leg confit, and you’ll really understand just how delicious.

Whether you follow the sun or fly by night you’ll definitely find in Macho Macho a true hidden gem.
