Maniax Brisbane City
Axe throwing. It's as simple as it sounds. Basically, you hurl a hatchet at a wooden wall with all your might, channelling some kind of hectic Viking lord. And now you can let off steam by chucking an axe right in the heart of the CBD—hello, post-work therapy session.
Yep, MANIAX Axe Throwing, who you might know from their OG Newstead location, has opened a second Brisbane venue at 79 Adelaide Street in the city where you can unleash your inner lumberjack, Nordic lord, or Chucky. The new basement spot features six private lanes (with two targets per lane) as well as 12 "quick chuck" lanes, making it ideal for both outings with the crew or action-packed date nights.
No clue how to hold an axe, let alone throw one? Don't worry there are axe-perts around to run you through it. And after you hit the bullseye, you can head for the fully-licensed bar, where you’ll find viking-inspired cocktails in drinking horns, craft beers, wine and non-alcoholic options, not to mention pizzas, burgers and meaty meals to feast on.
