The Verdict

After the closing of Daniel Bellas' cafe, Belesis, on Old Cleveland Road, stepping in to fill the gap is none other than Daniel's son, Mark, and his partner Sam, who have now completely transformed the space into the light and airy Ninebar + Kitchen.

The new menu is stacked with classic breakfast and lunch bites, all with a signature Ninebar slant to them. There's no shortage of options, with the likes of orange mascarpone French toast, cheesy croque madame, savoury waffle eggs benny and ricotta and blueberry pancakes for brunch, as well as a range of pastas, sandwiches and salads for lunch. Caffeine lovers are also catered for with fresh pours of Fonzie Abbott coffee.

Ninebar + Kitchen is fully licensed, so you're able to sip on a glass of wine or a creative cocktail while you lunch, and can even BYO your own wine. With smaller bites like baked camembert with crusty sourdough on the menu, it might be just the place to wile away an afternoon.
