What’s more Queensland than sitting on a patio in the afternoon sun nursing an ice cold beer? Not much, and that’s just what Paddington newcomer Patio wants to recreate in their al fresco neighbourhood bar. Being from the team behind Newstead’s Range Brewing, they of course have the ice cold beer part nailed—but there’s plenty more reasons to make a beeline for the leafy beer garden here. 

Designed to invoke the feeling of an open-air pavilion, the new bar features both indoor and outdoor seating, with a warm, relaxed atmosphere created through rustic brick, dark oak timber, and rich burgundy tiles. Take your pick from a cosy booth or a window bar table and set about deciding what to drink (and eat). 

There are 10 taps pouring Range Brewing’s very own beers of course, with two other taps serving  up wines the team have created in collaboration with LATTA Vino. You’ll also find a curated list of wines, spirits and cocktails, so there’s something for everyone. Fans of Range Brewing’s Jacopo’s Pizza will be happy to know that the same menu of Italian-inspired eats will also be available at Patio, with a few extra snack-worthy additions. For those unfamiliar, think cheesy pizzas, cacio e pepe suppli and meatballs with focaccia. 

Basically, Patio is the place to get together, unwind and savour the simple pleasures in life—so check it out soon.
