If you never got acquainted with the pie baking crew from Pie Town when they were a pop-up store at Wandering Cooks, then you've never felt the joy of biting into the flakiest, butteriest, most perfect pie crusts in all of Brisbane. It's time to rectify that. Thanks to a permanent new cafe in West End, you can now sample their pies all day, every day, which could be a good or a bad thing, depending on how much self control you've got.
This cozy little spot is dedicated to nothing but pies, with an array of sweet and savoury slices (and whole pies to preorder for lazy dinners or desserts) you'll struggle to choose from. On the savoury side, think chicken pot pie, pepper steak, cheesy cauliflower and cheeseburger pies, while the sweet menu offers up delights like strawberry rhubarb, apple, bourbon pecan and key lime. Can't decide? Get a tasting plate of three different flavours.
Everything on the short but sweet menu can be eaten there in the small dining area, or taken away—bring your own container and you'll even get a sweet 50 cent discount.
