All about big flavours, lively atmosphere and food made for sharing, Rừng sits inside a converted warehouse on Alfred Street—unfolding across multiple levels to create a dynamic dining experience connected by an authentic warmth throughout. With furniture and decor sourced from Vietnam, the space is a nod to its namesake as Rừng literally means ‘urban jungle’. 

Fresh herbs and smoky grills are the backbone of the menu, with standout dishes including chargrilled octopus and king prawns with Viet chimichurri, pork belly and beef skewers in bold dressings, and playful takes on classics like turmeric barramundi with noodles. There’s also a set menu if you prefer to leave it to the pros and a cocktail list that’s equally as aromatic with ingredients like citrus, herbs and spice to complement the dishes. 

Rừng is made to be a place where you stay awhile and even has a karaoke room for your post-dinner pleasure. Just make sure you come hungry.
