Suburban coffee find, Hello Garry in Coorparoo serves up really, really good Genovese coffee to their legion of loyal fans, as well as fresh, simple food (think avocado on toast and ham and cheese toasties). Open every morning, Hello Garry is the perfect way to kick start your day.

Marcia's on Montague in West End is a place where lovers of dining, cooking, entertaining, gifts, and quality homewares will feel at home. Their online shop is as beautiful as their store, and, chances are, if something pops out at you online, then it is in stock and in store as well.

Allsop & England Oganic Butcher in Coorparoo was established in 1980, and to this day they remain one of Brisbane's best specailst providers of organic meat. 

Golden Barbecue on Wickham Street is an institution in Fortitude Valley, and one of Brisbane's better known cheap and cheerful Chinese venues. What Golden Barbecue lacks in decor it makes up for in authenticity and ambience—it's a great spot for taking big groups of friends. Ordering the roast duck is a must.
