If you haven’t already seen this Korean street food chain trending on TikTok and Instagram, then you really should check them out. Sinjeon, which has over 700 stores world wide, has just opened its second Brisbane location in the CBD (the first one you'll find in Sunnybank), and it's already got Korean street food lovers queuing up for their authentic, affordable eats.
Here you can feast on everything from classic Kimchi fried rice and Korean fried chicken to Sinjeon’s own Jabchae Fish Cake—uniquely filled with Jabchae noodles and veggies—as well as a range of signature ramens. However, their real crowd pleasers are their topokki and kimbap menus.
Sinjeon is Korea’s number one topokki franchise brand and it's safe to say that the chewy rice cake dish has also been a hit here in Australia. You can try their original topokki with their famous spicy gochu sauce, or you can sample the chicken or corn cheese topokki versions which are also popular. However, the dish that everyone has really been racing to get their hands on is their cheese topokki. This saucy bowl of goodness is served piping hot to the table, where you can watch a chef pour hot cheese onto the dish, ready for a stringy cheese pull.
Another fan favourite is their kimbap range where you can devour their Singeon signature cheese kimbab with tuna, or try your hand at their spam eggs and tofu mayo kimbap. Finally, to wash down your delightful meal, you can find a selection of Korean soft drinks with flavours such as sweet pear, white grape and pineapple on the menu. These will tickle your sweet tooth and pair nicely with the spicy delicacies served on the table.
