The first ever brewery to open its doors in Fortitude Valley, Soapbox Beer is flipping the script with their city fringe micro brewery.
Blink-and-you'll-literally-miss-it Soapbox is housed in one of the Valley's oldest buildings. Having been given a whole new leason on life—which includes an in-house brewery, bar and kitchen—the space has become one of Brisbane's most sought-after brew hubs.
Soapbox’s core range includes everything a budding craft appreciant needs to get started, with five brews including a pale ale, a Kölsch, an IPA, a dark ale, and an American amber ale. Add to this two specialty brews that will change depending on the season. For their inaugural quarter, Soapbox has the ‘Sweet Talker’ Biscuit ale, and a ‘Potty Mouth’ Sarsaparilla Porter on offer, as well as a crisp cider to take the edge off summer.
On the food menu, you'll find quirky classics such as beer-brined wings with Korean pepper paste, potato curry croquettes, and crispy tofu with black vinegar caramel, as well as pub plates like fish and chips and a brisket burger.
A minimalistic space that plays perfectly into the old building's character, Soapbox is fast becoming one of the best breweries in town, and it'snot hard to figure why.
