Wine lovers, get your glasses ready—this new spot is worth raising a toast to. A new self-pour wine bar, Stickybeak, has landed in Woolloongabba, and it’s the perfect addition to Brisbane’s vibrant bar scene. Pour what you want, when you want, and sip your way through an incredible selection of over 80 hand-selected wines.

This two-story, sixty-seat gem is the brainchild of the team behind BTG Wine. Co-owner Anthony McConnel has curated a showcase of Australian wines from esteemed regions, alongside some of your international favorites from Italy, Germany, France, and New Zealand. The concept is simple, offering a DIY experience where you can choose between a 25, 75, or 150ml pour of each wine. And the best part? It's no more expensive to purchase by the glass, meaning you can explore at your leisure without worrying you’re spending more by not splitting a bottle with your friends.

Here’s how it works: you’ll receive a swipe card and have free reign of the self-dispensing wine fridges. Think of it as a self-guided wine trail through light aromatics, whites, Chardonnay, Pinot, Shiraz, Cabernet—you name it. Each fridge even has a QR code that lets you explore the flavor profiles of each bottle. Simply insert your card, select your pour size, and enjoy. If you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed, don’t worry—a few wine experts are always on hand to help guide you.

With all seating outdoors, spread across the pavement at street level and enclosed verandah upstairs, Stickybeak is the ultimate spot for your crew to sip, socialize, and swipe their way through a memorable night. And of course there’s snacks on offer too, because what’s a glass of wine without a cheese or charcuterie board? Bonus, the bar is dog-friendly if you nab a table outside, and the verandah is air-conditioned for those extra muggy days.
