The Verdict
Hoping to shine a light on Brisbane's already established James Street dining precinct, accomplished restaurateur Simon Gloftis has created Sunshine, a third sibling to Hellenika and SK Steak & Oyster.
Unlike his other acclaimed restaurants, Sunshine exudes a relaxed and easy-going atmosphere with a Mediterranean-style menu designed to transport you straight to a perfect summer day in Mykonos.
Available for both dine-in and takeaway and with an all-vegetarian approach, Sunshine's menu centred around Gloftis's favourite Mediterranean delights during his childhood is guaranteed to activate your taste buds. Everything's available by the hundred grams, meaning your plate can be completely customised depending on your hunger... or what catches your eye.
The wine and drinks list, pouring day and night, will complement the sustainable menu by offering organic, biodynamic wines, cocktails, and fresh homemade lemonade iced tea.
Perfect for a boozy brunch or easy after-work meal and everything in between, Sunshine's coastal-inspired courtyard and soft colour palette only add to Gloftis' concept in what is yet another iconic feature of the James Street dining precinct.
