“It was absolutely devastating to see the damage after months of effort and the knock on effects for our business and staff, but we’re not letting this hold us back,” says Dilan, owner of TABOO. “If anything, it’s made us even more determined to deliver something truly remarkable for Brisbane. The wait may be a little longer, but we promise it will be worth it.” 

Massaman curry and cocktails on a rooftop? We’re intrigued—and that’s what’s coming to the Valley soon with the arrival of TABOO. Taking over the sky high space previously home to Dirty Sultan, this lush new Thai spot comes to us from the team behind Mr Vain, so you know you can expect good things. 

Decked out in monochrome olive green, the moody, open-air rooftop oasis will ooze sophistication, featuring plush banquette seating, a dedicated bar area and plenty of greenery. While details are slim for now, we’re promised the menu will feature plenty of flavour-packed creations, from delicate seafood to perfectly balanced curries designed to share, along with innovative cocktails and a lengthy wine list specialising in pet-nats.
