Located on the ground floor of the brand new GPO, which is also home to The Tax Office and The Gatsby, TAMA is definitely a spot to save up your dollars for. The swanky restaurant is bringing back the golden era of fine dining, complete with white tablecloths and soft-spoken waiters—though if you just want to stop in for a hearty bowl of their signature spag bol and a glass of wine, that’s ok too.

Whether you get seated at one of those white clad tables or the huge, curved, green velvet booths that line one wall of the venue, make sure you look up to see the incredible glass sculpture that fills the airy, two-story atrium above. While the main dining area is limited to the ground floor, upstairs there are several private dining areas, along with a small bar for boujee events.

In the kitchen you’ll find Executive Chef Richard Ousby, who previously helmed the kitchen at Stokehouse. Together with the team chefs coaxed away from top notch venues all over Brisbane, he’s put together a menu of Euro-style eats cooked over a Josper coal oven—think crispy polenta gems oozing with blue cheese, charcoal calamari, Moreton Bay bugs, 2kg Angus tomahawks, and berkshire pork belly with apple and macadamia.

If you've been wanting to book that table for a while, but just haven't made it in yet, here's some extra incentive: throughtout April, any booking of four or more for a ladies lunch will score a complimentary bottle of Veuve Clicquot. The offers is only available while stocks last, so get in quick—details here
